Imagine not knowing who your birth father is and feeling like you don’t know your own twin sister anymore, all while trying to understand your sexuality and discovering who you are as a person. Center of My World beautifully weaves all of these topics in a captivating coming-of-age film.
With strong performances from the entire cast, but especially Louis Hofmann as Phil, this adaptation of Andreas Steinhöfel’s book of the same name will remind you about the ups and downs of experiencing your first love. There are a few too many secondary characters, each with story lines that never fully get the attention they deserve, but there’s more than enough emotion with Phil and Nicolas to make up for it.
