It’s yet another Get Reel Giveaway for this week! Our wonderful partners at Vortex Media & Route 504 PR have sent us some Apple TV Digital Copy codes for MARLENE and we would love to get this wonderful Canadian movie into your library. I covered this title at Whistler Film Festival in 2020 and am thrilled it is finally getting a release.
ABOUT: Inspired by the true story of Marlene Truscott, a housewife who fought to exonerate her husband from a crime he didn’t commit. Marlene became involved in the fight for justice at a young age, when Steven was arrested at 14 and sentenced to be hung. Her story is one of hiding, living under an assumed name and protecting her children. Through it all Marlene was determined that Steven would get justice. Surrounded by boxes of files Marlene found a world of lies, cover-ups, and secrets.
